Studio Ghibli (スタジオジブリ) occurs as Japanese animation film studio. Its anime films have been provocative, ingenious, emotional & widely praised everthing on top the world.

Its title derives from either a nickname a Italians used for their Saharan scouting planes in the Second World War, which derived from a Italian word for hot wind blowing through the Sahara Desert (sirocco). Though a term is Italian, a Japanese pronunciation of the studio's title is 'ji-bree' or even 'ji-bu-ri'. a theory behind a title was that a studio was blowing a freshly wind into the anime industry.

Based around 1985, it is headed per extremely regarded director Hayao Miyazaki (宮崎 駿 Miyazaki Hayao) along with his colleague & wise man Isao Takahata (高畑 勲 Takahata Isao). Its origins date back to 1983, with a film Nausicaä of the Valley of Wind (風の谷のナウシカ Kaze there are no tani no Naushika, 1984), which started as a serialized manga in a publication of Tokuma Shoten's (徳間書店) Animage magazine. Tokuma is the parent company of Studio Ghibli, & has provided Disney with the streaming video rights to eight of the films & spherical distribution rights to Princess Mononoke (もののけ姫 Mononoke Hime, 1997) and Spirited Away (千と千尋の神隠し Sen to Chihiro no Kamikakushi, 2001). Miyazaki's latest film, ''Howl's Moving Castle, (ハウルの動く城 Hauru no ugoku shiro'', 2004) was actually based on a book by British author Diana Wynne Jones, published in several countries including Canada and the United States. Composer Joe Hisaishi has provided the soundtrack for a lot of Miyazaki's Studio Ghibli films.

A best known & lauded film from either a studio that was non directed by Miyazaki is Grave of the Fireflies (火垂るの墓 Hotaru no Haka, 1988), directed by Isao Takahata, a sad film focusing on the endures of deuce war orphans around post-Second World War Japan.
